EVA, Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate, is the type of material produced with SUMINO’s extrusion foil line and it is especially reserved for the production of solar-photovoltaic panels.
EVA foil protects the photovoltaic cell, encapsulating and wrapping the silicon cells, and enables a perfect sealing and a high adherence with the outer glass sheet and with the back-sheet (lower layer).
LINE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FOIL IN SPECIAL
MATERIALS, SUCH AS: EVA – CROSS-LINKED EVA – TPU
Especially reserved for the production of solar panels.
Photovoltaics is widely developing all over the world and
is mentioned as one of the most important sectors for the
alternative energy.
SUMINO has made ready a highly technological line, able to satisfy the highest demands for this special application.
The material utilized for this application (EVA) is a material to which are added stabilizers to light, cross linking, peroxides and other process components; the next step is the crosslinking obtained through “post curing”, in Autoclavers or IR ovens after the extrusion. Therefore the extrusion line needs to produce a foil with maximum light transmission and able to avoid cross-linking during the process itself. The extruder is equipped with a very accurate temperature control system and with a screw with specific geometry for this application. Screw and barrel are manufactured in special materials. A gravimetric dosing system allows the feed of both liquid and solid additives.
A range of extruders that can satisfy the most different requirements is available.
